Great Wolf Lodge

We took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinatti back when Camden was two and Savannah was three months old. I've been wanting to go back since then as a quick and easy get away. We stayed there Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately, Savannah was sick with a fever the whole time but she was still a good sport mostly and we were all able to have some fun together.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon and walked around the hotel while we waited for our room to be ready and then went swimming at the indoor water park. Camden was very adamant in the days leading up to our arrival that he would not ride any slides or do the lazy river. Despite that, he ended up trying the preschool-sized slides and loved them. He probably did those slides 30+ times. He glady went on the bigger (I'd say grade school sized) slide by himself also. We all four went on the lazy river a few times but both kids say they didn't like it because of the dumping buckets. Both kids also did a lily pad jump across a pool and played in the wave pool.

They both agreed their favorite activity was the "hot pool".

The biggest surprise on the trip was when Camden agreed to ride Coyote Canyon, a pretty intense adult-sized water slide and he said it was amazing! He also purposefully put his face in the water several times (that's way out of his normal no-water-near-my-face attituted). He made some real breakthroughs regarding his timidness around water this weekend.

Besides visiting the water park, we played in the arcade, ordered pizza, got ice cream and watched movies in the room.
