Cincinnati

To get out of the house during the winter drudgery, we planned a long weekend to Cincinnati. We planned to go to IKEA on Saturday to pick up several items on our shopping list, but the weather turned out to be unseasonably warm so we started the day at the Cincinnati Zoo. It was pretty crowded (as expected) but we enjoyed the time outdoors. The kids liked the insect exhibit, the manatees, the bonobos, and the fox best.

From there, we headed over to IKEA with a detailed shopping list in hand. We only spent $10 over our budget, the kids did not melt down, and Chris and I are still married (all very real concerns one might have when shopping there).  We'll be getting an IKEA about 15 minutes away next year! Is it weird I'm looking forward to date nights in their cafe since they have free babysitting?

We were there during Savannah's normal nap time and she wasn't feeling well, so she asked if she could go to lay on one of the toddler beds. The funny thing is, this bed was right along the crowded aisle where people were walking through, so many shoppers were laughing.
