Spring Break - Minnesota, Mall of America

We started our day in Rochester so I could visit the Mayo Clinic for a neurology specialist for my neurologic issues. It was a great visit. Then we finished our drive to Bloomington, just outside of the twin cities. The next day we went to the Mall of America!

I grew up in Minnesota and always remember the Orange Julius near the amusement park. It was still there!

I purposefully scheduled our visit on "toddler Tuesday" so we could get wristbands for the family rides for the day at Nickelodeon Universe theme park

Spring Break - Iowa

For spring break, we took a road trip to Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. 3 of those states the kids had never been to before.

We drove to Moline/Quad City on Easter Eve evening. The next day was driving through Iowa.

Our first stop after Mass was the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium

The night before, we watched the movie Field of Dreams in the car. Then we visited the actual baseball field and house from the movie. They had equipment sitting out so you could play your own baseball game.

Then we were back on the road to Pikes Peak State Park for some views

The kids always like fish, so we made a pit stop at Drecorah Fitch Hatchery to feed some salmon

Final stop was our hotel in Rochester, Minnesota for some swimming.
