Total Solar Eclipse

This year, on April 8th our town was in the path of totality for a solar eclipse. Our cousins from California came in for the event and eventually lots of other family joined, too. Camden made a slide presentation and a Jeopardy game. The eclipse happened at 3:06 and lasted a bit over 3 minutes. Everything went dark as if it were dusk and you could see a ring (the corona of the sun) around the moon. It was so cool! We were blessed with a sunny day (amidst many days of rain and clouds). It was truly an amazing experience!

St. Louis - Magic House & Union Station

We visited a fun children's museum called Magic House. The kids all loved this place and rated it their favorite. It had lots of imaginative play activities. That evening, we went to Union Station for ice cream and to see a light and fire show. The koi pond was an added bonus.

St. Louis - Arch, Zoo, Grants Farm

On Friday, we started by going to the Gateway Arch. We went through the museum and the kids all obtained their Junior Ranger badges. Then we did a photoshoot outside.

Grant's Farm had just opened for the season, so we visited on our way back out of town. We got a tram tour of the grounds, free beer, and got to feed baby goats.

A few photos from the St. Louis Zoo. It was a big (and free!) zoo we all enjoyed!
