scary 'pider

Recently, Camden woke up during his nap at daycare scared (his teacher reported). That night, while Chris was putting Camden to bed, he handed Cam his board books to look at before he fell asleep including the Very Busy Spider (a book he previously enjoyed) and he started crying.

Camden - "I'm scared!"
Chris - "Oh no! What are you scared of?"
Camden - crying "I saw a 'pider (spider) at daycare!"
Chris - "Was it a real spider that you saw?"
Camden - "No"
Chris - "Was it a picture of a spider?"
Camden - "Yes"
Chris - "Was it in a book?"
Camden - "Yes. A scary pider book"
Chris then removed the Very Busy Spider book, comforted him, and all was well for the night.

Monday morning Camden and I marched into his daycare and, after dropping of Savannah in her room, proceeded to dig through the book shelf searching for the terrifying spider book.

"Here it is!" Cam said. Beware, the following image depicts the horrifying spider:

hmmm, not as scary as I expected but alright.

"And this page is the scary part.."

I guess it is a bit morbid to eat your love interest, I'll give him that.  The cute drawings don't fool Camden.  I handed the book to his teacher, Ms. Sam, for removal and he rested easy at nap time :)
