I was pregnant and I remember the smell of middle eastern cooking was in the walls and carpet and it made me feel sick just being in the house! Eventually the house became a comfortable home for us. We welcomed all four of our kids in this home, we had many celebrations, movie nights, cookouts, family dinners, sleep overs, and holidays. We walked to the BGP (big green playground), the pool, the ponds, and on our normal walking routes over and over. We did what feels like a million home projects to make it work for our expanding family. It's a big house and was always worked well for us.
Over the last few years we realized the upstairs was a bit cramped for six people...the rooms are small with small closets. Chris and I wanted a bigger shower (ours is tiny) and a separate toilet area would be nice! We also recently realized we needed a larger area to eat in our kitchen for our daily meals. We also wanted a backyard that was easy to access where the kids could run out and play and we could see them from inside. We decided it was time to find a different home to meet our needs in 2020.
As a kid, I moved frequently and thought I'd never live in a home more than five or so years. I guess five years turned into ten! We've loved our home for ten years and hope our kids (well at least the older three) have lots of fond memories to recall of their time here. We also hope our new house treats us well and that we can make many new memories there.
