Moving!

Too add to the surprises of this already upside down, mixed up year...we're moving! We had always planned to move once the youngest of all of our kids was a toddler or so (so in a couple years), but we realized this might actually be a better time given the unusual circumstances. Interest rates are low, Chris suddenly has 2-3 weeks unused vacation time, and we're all home without a full calendar of commitments.

After searching for a little bit, we offered on a home that fell through. Shortly after, our relator showed us a home she thought we'd like just four minutes from our current home and she was right! The most surprising thing was that our next door neighbors' parents wanted to buy our home...so we never even had to list it! It's been a whirlwind of packing, patching walls, selling furniture/appliances,  signing forms, working out lots and lots of inspection/purchase details on this super quick closing of just under 2 weeks. All of this on top of the kids being home all of the time and homeschooling. Whew!

Our closing is this Thursday (on both homes) and we move Friday. Hoping for a smooth process so that we can get moved in and settled and hopefully slow down and enjoy time together in our new place.
