Camden's 9th Birthday

Camden was planning to have several friends from school over for Pokemon themed party for his 9th birthday. However, when under quarantine, that isn't allowed. We instead had a Zoom birthday party with family. Everyone called in and we played Pokemon bingo (something I had planned to do with his friends), opened presents, and ate cake. He and Savannah made signs and decorations for him in their room at night. It was a very different birthday!

The kids helped me make a cake using ingredients we had around the house since I couldn't find a mix to buy...and it was really good. I was able to buy frosting in a can but it wasn't going to be enough so I whipped it in my mixer and it doubled in size!

Camden wasn't too upset that his party didn't turn out, (we're all getting used to disappointment) but he is really hoping to get his friends together this summer (and I hope he's right!).

On his actual birthday, his class sang happy birthday to him over their morning Zoom meeting, we ordered O'Charleys family chicken finger meal and his Teta Liz sent him a Treetsa Pizza from DQ for dessert.
