We watched them roast (and completely cut up) an entire pig...many questions were asked. It was hot, and there was a stream to play in right by the shelter.
my favorite nephew, Jude (that is until September when I get a second nephew)
We decided to take a slight detour on the way back to the city to go to Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg. It had mixed reviews, but our overall opinion was that is was fun for young kids (probably under 8). Ours definitely enjoyed it!
The next day, after we checked out of the condo, we walked to Adler Planetarium for the morning. There was a fun kids area and a nice explanation of the solar system.
a vent in the floor was a bonus activity for Savannah
the Field Museum was on our way back to the car and since we got in free, we spent about 45 minutes checking out Sue, the t-rex, and the animals

Steph, how'd you get in for free? Guest pass from Indy museums? Text or email me. :) Also, LOVE that photo of Savannah with her hair blowing in the wind (straight up). <3
