Chicago for Levi's birthday

Levi has really been into "hotels", I had an expiring hotel night certificate, and the kids had a random day off of school, so we headed to Chicago for Levi's birthday weekend! We went to the Museum of Science and Industry (a family favorite), the Field Museum, Maggie Daly Park, and "the bean". We also made sure to have fun in the hotel room and eating the hotel breakfast.  The kids also swam in the pool and spent time on the balcony looking at the city. We took public transportation (so not to lose our awesome and free parking spot) which was an interesting experience, too. A great birthday weekend for Levi!

My friend suggested an ice cream place within walking distance so we went.

we spent a long time looking at items under this microscope. When I left to go find more things, I came back to find them looking at Jonas' eye!

waiting for the bus that never came (a 5k was in the way), so we had to walk!

We stayed at the Hyatt House in the West Loop area...great views!

right outside our hotel was a World McDonalds with a menu from other countries. Chris got a gross beet burger, Savannah got a McPlant, I got a Chinese chicken sandwich, and we all tried an Australian dessert.
