summer break - June & early July

Summer is here! We started day one of summer break with a vacation (the first time we've ever done that) and now we are home and enjoying summer activities. There is just something about the long, slow, summer days that are so nice.

my mom got married in early June and 3/4 kids were in the wedding, as was I. I'll post more pictures once she gets her professional photos back.

4th of July was so fun! We are loving staying home and enjoying the show from our backyard. We are able to see the Carmel East show in addition to the Conner Prairie show all three nights (July 2-4) from the other direction. After both shows were done, we got a close up show put on by one of our neighbors. It did not disappoint! Plus the commute back home is just a few yards walk! This year my brother's whole family stayed the night after the fireworks as our first official overnight guests in our house.
