On May 29, we finished the drive to Orlando. All in all...it was a really long drive. Not something I'm eager to do again soon. After some issues checking in and a fridge being delivered due to the condo fridge being broken, we checked in and unpacked. The kids went swimming in our private pool right away.
The next day (May 30) was my "Disney Day" where I planned things on Disney campus without going into the parks. First, we parked and got breakfast at Grand Floridian. From there, we took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom where we caught the boat to Wilderness Lodge. We walked around the grounds and ate at the outdoor dining Geyser Point. From there we took the boats back to the Grand Floridian.
We swam in our pool a bit back at the condo. That afternoon, I hired a furloughed Disney employee (there is a Facebook group of them looking for side jobs) to come and teach the kids Jedi training, just like they used to do at Hollywood Studios. He was great and so fun. Camden and Jonas did light saber battles the rest of the week (once they bought some light sabers at Disney Springs). I even got Chris a Darth Vader suit to wear in the battle.
