To commemorate our one year anniversary in our home, we decided to recreate what we did the first time we were in the home together. We ordered pizza and ate it picnic style on the floor of the morning room area. Before we moved in last year, we were allowed to sit in the empty house while we waited for the inspection (4 hours) to finish at our old house. It was during the stay-at-home time last year and it was raining, so we really had no where else to go and the sellers thankfully let us stay there. It turned out to be a really great memory.
What is your favorite thing about the house?
Levi - I suspect he likes having the basement and the backyard where he can roam
Jonas - close to the soccer field
Savannah - the secret room in the basement and the morning room
Camden - close to friends and the playground
Stephanie - the location, backyard, and practical living spaces
Chris - the backyard
I meant to post this last summer but I never did! When we first moved in we had 4 big projects we needed to complete. All of the projects were done by mid summer 2020. Here are the before and afters.
1. Adding office doors to the open room in the front of the house so Chris could work from home.
2. Adding a fence to the backyard
3. Carpeting the basement
4. Adding a bathroom to the basement.
