Advent week 2:
- celebrate St. Nicholas day with gifts in shoes and watching the Veggie Tales version
- Christmas lego building competition
- gingerbread house building (note for next year - buy a prebuilt house)
-Sullivan train ride (we skipped the Santa experience this year and just rode around)
-Stephanie's virtual moms night in Christmas tree craft
-walking Midtown Carmel to see the lights on a beautiful night
-time with Grandma doing Christmas crafts/cooking (Chris and I got a date night and were able to eat outdoors due to the warm weather instead of getting takeout!)
-winter holidays crafts from Fishers parks

we have nothing in front of our tree, so Levi redecorates often
This year I came up with a random Lego Duplo challenge where we try to build various Christmas themed items. This was a lot of fun and definitely one we will continue.
Every year we try to build gingerbread houses and it's so frustrating! I think one year we found a prebuilt house...we need that next time. Savannah had the most trouble and when she finally asked for help she had eaten all of the decorations. She tried to say she didn't...but there is no other explanation.

Fishers had families register to pick up these free winter craft kits. I was expecting some coloring sheets or something but it was a really well thought out and quality box of crafts for various holidays that people celebrate in winter (Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, winter solstice, diwali). This took us probably 2 hours to work through and everyone enjoyed it.
