Jonas at 3 years

Jonas. He's quite the character. He keeps us on our toes! He's been extremely verbal and articulate which results in him expressing his opinions quite often. His emotions run high (both good and bad) and he feels them intensely. He has great comedic timing and even remembers funny parts of movies and recites them. If he does something to make people laugh, he remembers it and does it over and over or tries it again later. He's very strong willed and stubborn and will go on and on and on about something (reminds me somewhat of Camden). He enjoys playing with Savannah (doggy game, forts, house, etc) and with Camden (wrestling/battle). His preschool teacher said he's very friendly and kind. He's up for an adventure but will probably want to be carried the whole time. He's been a champ at potty training and is doing so well!

36" tall, 30lbs

Sleeping: in bed around 8pm, up around 6:45am, nap or rest from 1-2:30pm. He is really good about going to bed or down for naps. He's been sleeping in a big boy bed for about 5 months without any issues. He loved his pacifier so much but we had to take it away in September. He did well, but I sometimes wish I'd just give it back to him. We let him have it at nap time, so he often wants to take a nap really early just to lay there with it.

Foods: he is really picky and often skips lunch or dinner almost entirely if it isn't something he wants. At first, I was letting it go but I'm probably going to start making fruit/veggie smoothies for him to get in some nutrients.

Social: He is super social and often goes up to strangers to tell them things. He found "gemmies" (little gems) at the playground and told several people there about it. Chris hopes he might be the first kid to actually want to ride thrill rides with him at amusement parks. He willing rode the big family raft ride twice at Great Wolf Lodge. He's been adjusting to having a new baby. He outwardly really likes Levi but I think misses being able to be held/snuggled whenever he wants.

Working on: Would like him to play independently better especially during the day when the older kids aren't home, he wants someone with him 100% of the time. Working on talking quieter (he uses his loud voice a lot). Working on not arguing and listening.

Clothing: 2T/3T

- "My favorite thing in the whole life world"
- "This is the worst day ever!"- when he wants to be extra dramatic
- says "laa" instead of "yea"
- "very goody awesome" for something really cool
- when he says "Jonas" it often sounds like "donuts"
- he claims to know things and will argue that you're aren't correct even though he has no idea what he's talking about.
- he was insistent on going on a "daddy/daughter date" with Chris. So, today, Chris took him to the mall (his request) for a daddy/daughter date

Hope this year brings you lots of fun and joy, little guy!
