Advent - week 3

Sunday - we made cinnamon rolls. A couple years ago I started a tradition for myself of making the Pioneer Woman's cinnamon rolls (her recipe makes a lot of rolls) and then freezing them to eat Christmas morning and when we have morning guest over the next week or so. It's super messy and I had to tell Chris not to look as we got sugar, cinnamon, flour, and butter all over the kitchen island.

Monday - pick a Christmas song and dance to it

Tuesday - out to dinner and back to Reynolds to look at lights again

Wednesday - Christmas bath. We also started watching the Netflix movie, Christmas Chronicles

Savannah had her preschool Christmas program. Her last year in preschool!

Thursday - kids choice. They chose shakes from Steak n' Shake and drive around looking at lights. I also took Savannah and Jonas to Cabella's (outdoor/sporting goods store) to check out their Christmas set up. It was so nice and all free! They had a couple play areas, nice craft, free photo with Santa, and the kids got a free stuffed animal bunny. The store itself is impressive with a giant Christmas tree, fireplace and waterfall/fish tank. Since we went at 9am, no other kids were there.

Friday - Dinner with Santa at Conner Prairie. We usually do an affordable breakfast with Santa but it didn't work with our schedule this year so we splurged a little on a dinner. The food was great and the Santa was top notch! He spent a long time with each child who visited him. He also recited "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and sang a song prior to dinner.

he gave them each a friendship bracelet

group hug

Saturday - Miskowiec Christmas. Camden and Savannah both got sleeping bags which we used when watching Muppet Christmas Carol (my childhood favorite)
