Flat Fork Creek Park

I recently heard about a new park in Fishers (really, Fortville) called Flat Fork Creek Park. I couldn't find out a whole lot about it other than there wasn't a playground but there was a fishing pond, so when my dad came to visit I requested we check it out with the intent of fishing there.

It wasn't very crowded and nobody was fishing, so we set up on the little dock.  Right away, Camden was catching little fish (small blue gill and large mouth bass) and he ended up catching at least ten!  Savannah caught one, but it fell on her foot and flopped around and then she was done (my dad caught a few with her pole). It was a very good fishing experience since most of the time fishing is quite boring.

Afterwards, Camden wanted to climb the "mountain" which is actually a man-made sledding hill!

Then we walked along the trail and explored three of the tree houses there.

This park is definitely unique and, for the time being, a hidden gem. We'll definitely be back to fish or when we want to do something a little different.
