Disney World - Day 5

We were excited for our full day at Animal Kingdom and we made it there early enough to see the macaw fly over to open the park.  Our first ride, It's Tough to Be a Bug, was too scarry for the kids (we all forgot about the "bug spray" and giant spiders that come from the celeing).  We felt like we finally got the hang of the Fastpass system and how to use our touring plans app, so this day seemed pretty organized!

Our favorite activity of the day was the safari

Our second meal reservation of the trip (and also our second character meal) was at the Tusker House. It was an African styled buffet and was really delicious.

studying the autograph book before lunch (I actually dug this book out of my memory box...it is from our Disney trip in 1994!)

after lunch, we headed back to the dinosaur area to play and dig up bones

We saw the Nemo and Lion King shows, rode some more rides and walked back along the trail that follows the base of the big tree

back at our hotel, we went for a swim in the pool

one of our rooms had pool views
