State Fair 2015

One of my favorite yearly traditions is going to the State Fair. Even though Chris has a crazy busy work schedule this month and I had to work in the afternoon, we visited on a Tuesday morning to beat the crowds, the heat, and save money ($2 entrance and $2 food?! Count us in!).

We ended up spending about 3 hours there and didn't even get to see and do all that we wanted to! Next year we'll budget our time better. We did get to do the things we wanted to do the most and eat corn dogs and fried cookie dough, so all was good. The kids really enjoyed it. Then we headed home so Chris and I could work and the kids could nap (do I wish I was a kid still so I could nap? Uh, yea).

The favorite activity was Little Hands on the Farm where the kids collected produce and farm items along a path and then got a juice at the end when they turned them in.

They also enjoyed "driving" the antique tractors. I'm starting to think you aren't suppose to get on them...but oh well.

Last year Camden went fishing at the DNR building, but he was really disappointed to find out they had an age minimum this year. We just looked at fish instead.

We didn't take any photos of lunch, the animals, or our stroll through the midway.
