NYE Party Menu

I like to keep track of recipes I use for parties/events in case I want to recreate it!  We had about forty people over for NYE this year, so I needed to make lots of snacks!  Apparently I was all about cream cheese since most of these recipes have a brick or two as ingredients!  Here is what we had at our NYE party this year:

Lemon Cheesecake Cheeseball - more like a dessert than a classic "cheeseball".  Chris really liked it.  I served it with crackers.
- Crescent-Wrapped Brie - easy.  I added canned cranberry sauce to the middle before cooking.  Not a lot of people ate it, though, I think because they didn't know what it was.
- Meatballs - easiest.  I just filled a big crock pot with these and didn't have to mess with much.
- Beer Cheese Dip - good with pretzels
- Chicken Taquitos - very tasty.  The corn tortillas constantly fell apart, so I cooked the mixture separate and left tortillas out for a "make your own taquito" station.  Probably good with chips, too.
- Garlic Artichoke Dip - I've made this several times this year for various events and people seem to really devour it.  I think the fresh garlic and freshly grated Parmesan cheese are key.
- Holiday Spiced Snack Mix - a good mix of sweet and salty for munching on.
- Jalapeno Popper Dip - spicy, but it really tastes like jalapeno poppers.  Good with chips or maybe celery.
- Veggie Tray - for the healthy eaters
- Sugar Cookies - I just used pre-made dough, but this is a tasty recipe.
- Corn and Black Bean Salsa (recipe from my sister-in-law, Liz)
- Chocolate Fountain - this is always fun.  Now that they sell chocolate specifically for the fountain, you don't have to mess with melting chocolate chips and mixing it with oil.

I made these Cinnamon Rolls way in advance so I could thaw and have them for Christmas and New Year's breakfasts.  They were way messier to make than I had imagined.

I'd love to hear your favorite party recipes sometime!

Hey Steph!

I didn't get to try all of the food at your party, but the stuff I did try was delicious! My favorite thing to bring to a party (and the easiest) is a block of cream cheese (haha) and a jar of red pepper jelly. You just put the cold block of cream cheese on a plate and then dump the room temp. pepper jelly on top. Serve with wheat thin crackers. YUM! I've taken it to so many parties and it's always a hit. There is also this recipe on Our Best Bites that I've been dying to try...

Thanks for hosting such a wonderful party :)!

Yes! I've seen that recipe before and it looks very tasty. I think the boys especially would love it!
