Alaskan Cruise - Seattle, Washington

This summer, our family plus Grandma Leslie took a 7 night cruise to Alaska! It was roundtrip out of Seattle, so we also had a few days in Seattle to explore. Here is the story of our adventure:

We started our Alaskan adventure by driving to Chicago the first day of summer break so we could fly nonstop to Seattle the next day. The following morning, we flew to Seattle. Leslie, Chris, and Levi took an Uber to the hotel and walked around (after dropping off all of our bags...there were a lot). Camden, Savannah, Jonas and I took the Light Rail into the city to walk around Pike Place Market. We were able to see the gum wall, fish stalls, and got some apple cider slushies. Then we took the historic monorail towards our hotel. We all met up and ate pizza once our rooms were ready at the Hyatt.

The next day, we went to Mass near the hotel. Then we walked to the Space Needle. The elevators are on the outside with views going up. There is an open-air viewing area and also an area indoors with glass floors. It was cool to see the city and the port since we would only be exploring Seattle for two days. After a rest in the hotel, we went back to Seattle Center to go to the Pacific Science Center to explore. Then we took the monorail (from the time of the World's Fair in 1962) back and forth just to try it out. Afterwards we headed back to our hotel to prepare for our cruise the next day.
