Camden at 10 years

Our first child is double digits! Wow, time sure flies and it just keeps going faster. We decided, as each kid turns ten, we'll do something special for them. This year, Chris is taking Camden to Universal Studios when we're in Orlando to check out all the Harry Potter stuff.

Camden is an easy-going, fun loving kid. He is friendly and engaging. He'll talk easily to friends and seems to make friends easily.  One of my favorite things about him is that he doesn't seem to care about being "cool" or doing whats popular (at least not yet). He has done so well in school and is really in his element there. He reads A LOT. His favorite reading material is still graphic novels/comics, but he'll read real books, too. He still enjoys playing with Legos and battle games with his weapon collection. He also is pretty funny and is the best one at getting Levi laughing hysterically. Yesterday, when Levi was driving me crazy getting into stuff while I was cooking, Camden took him to the nursery and read him some books. We are working on critical thinking/common sense skills. Chris took him to run some errands recently and remarked how it was nice to finally have a kid join him and actually make things easier versus more difficult! He's a great kid and a fun age.
