Cincinnati Fall Break - day 1

We booked a little get away for fall break (probably our last one for many months). To be safer, we decided to stay at an AirBNB with contactless check in and some outside activities planned. Ohio actually issued a travel advisory for residents of Indiana while we were gone, but we were already there so we just stayed outside and away from people!

After finding an Airbnb that I thought would work, the owner actually suggested this place (another one of his listings) that would be better for our needs. I originally didn't consider it because we cook nearly all of our meals and I didn't think it had a kitchen. The owner said it had a "kitchenette" so I found a way to make it work.

On Wednesday, after the kids got home from school and when Chris finished his meetings we headed to check in.

The unit was the entire third floor of an old mansion. We had our own back entrance (complete with a welcoming chicken). We had 40 stairs to go up to our unit. It had three bedrooms (we only used two), a living area and a HUGE playroom. I think the playroom may have been the same size as our main floor at our house. It was filled with random toys (many broken or out of batteries) but it provided a nice area for the kids to play around.

Cam and Savy wanted their mattresses on the floor

the owners have 4 kids also, so plenty of outdoor fun

they. had chickens, a turkey, and peacocks. Jonas said the peacock bit him and when I suggested maybe it pecked him he said "no, I heard its teeth crunch". He was pretty dramatic on this trip.
