Christmas Eve & Day

We got home from our overnight trip in time for naps and then to get ready for Christmas Eve Mass. After Mass, we headed home for chili. Savannah has been very skeptical about whether or not Santa is real but she goes back and forth. Camden is sure he's real. Jonas just calls him "Ho Ho" and asks for a candy cane.

Christmas Day started per usual...before 7am. Gifts included a water table for Jonas, a play school kit for Camden (for some reason he really wanted this one he saw awhile back), and a Puppy Surprise for Savannah. We also got a foosball table for the basement.

Liz and Steve joined us that night. The kids wanted to play school and Liz didn't want to be the teacher (her profession is a teacher and she's on break!), so Savannah was the teacher. We started with the pledge, of course.

Everyone's favorite gift/memory of the day:

Camden - his Lego fire station and building it with family while singing Christmas carols with Baba (she came with the Miskowiec's the day he got it). Aww.

Savannah - her salon kit. She said her favorite memory is the same as Camden's but I think she really enjoyed having her cousin Cece over for a sleep over the day of the Eakman Christmas

Stephanie - having our families come to our home to celebrate with us on different days and many of them spending the night so we didn't feel rushed. Oh, and wearing PJs all day a lot!

Chris - playing foosball (mostly with Camden) and watching Savannah make her first goal

Being around young children at Christmastime is probably one of the best things in the world. There are very few occasions where the magic and wonder as so alive and visible!
