yes, that pancake is covered in Oreos
We then walked over to Maggie Daley Park which was still practically empty. It is an awesome park with all sorts of areas for kids to climb and explore. Once it was getting pretty hot, the kids got on swim suits and we splashed in the water areas.
Cloud Gate (the big bean) was a short walk away.
Crown Fountain was a big hit with our family. They especially liked when the giant faces spit out a stream of water every so often.
We walked back for naps/rest and then headed back out to the Field Museum. We spent most of the time in the Evolving Earth exhibit looking at dinosaurs. Jonas really liked the African animal area (he probably thought they were real). We also got to play in the kid's lab area which was more hands-on.
I made dinner back at the room and then we went back out for ice cream at Gordo's Homemade Ice Cream bars. That was a messy and very rich treat!
We got a chance to feed our friend's cats since they were on vacation this weekend. Jonas is pretty crazy about cats (he calls them "mimi") so he was yelling about the "mimis" the whole time trying to get them to play with him. We also checked out the great view from the roof.
