Here are the kids filling in the blanks to some old proverbs (Camden 6yrs/Savannah 4yrs)

It's better to be safe than: a liar/a cheetah

Children should be seen and not: in the shadows/in a nest

Look before you: walk on water/cross the road

A pictures is worth: colors/more pictures

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it: walk on the water/go in it

The grass is always greener: in the summer/and trees are always greener

Good news travels: on TV/to the woods

If at first you don't succeed: the next time you'll succeed/planning(?)

A bird in the hand is: peace/hungry

A penny saved is: one cent/life

Strike while: they are not looking/(didn't know)

It's always darkest: before morning/in caves

Don't bite the hand: that is bad/of a tiger

No news is: bad/on TV

You can't teach an old dog: to jump rope/ to go across the road

Two is company, three is: work/alone time

Better late than: ever/poopin'
