sunrise

One of Chris' friends told him that Northview Church (which is just outside our neighborhood) is the highest point in Carmel. It also has an unobstructed view east from it's parking lot. The morning after the time change, we decided to take the kids there to watch the sun rise. We grabbed some snacks and coffee from home, woke up Camden and Savannah and headed over. They were really excited about it, as they always are when we wake them up early for something. We watched for about 20 minutues and the sun rose around 8:02am. At Mass that morning, the priest even mentioned wearing pink vestments as a sign of anticipation "like waiting for the sun to appear at a sunrise" so it was a great morning for it!

safety alert: there appears to be some external trigger that causes the sunroof to start closing (which is why they have concerned faces here) but it does stop when it meets resistance (my arm trying to stop it, in this case). Beware!

Camden asked when we got there if we were going to church at Northview. Savannah said, "No Cam, this is where you go to vote for the President". We did go there to vote for president, so she was right!
