For New Year's Eve this year, I opted to host a little "Countdown to Noon" party for kids. It was from 10:30-12:30 and included breakfast food and playtime followed by the countdown to noon and balloon drop. We tied a balloon drop bag from our banester and also filled several trash bags with additional balloons. My dad was a trooper and blew up most of them while he was here for Christmas. The kids loved the balloons and took some home with them. The remaining fifty balloons went to someone I found on Facebook having a party that night. Chris also set off several fireworks in the driveway that were a huge hit. It was nice the kids got to join in some New Year's festivities.
