Bedtime Routine

Camden loves his daily routine and it makes our lives pretty easy, too.  We all pretty much know what to expect each day (until baby comes, that is!).  I thought I should write about it so I don't forget what we used to do when he's bigger.

We start with a snack, of course.  Then we head upstairs for a bath (on bath nights, anyways).

Then we brush teeth and he runs in his towel down the hall to his room.

We lotion up and put on PJs.  Then it is time to pick some books to read...serious business.

Then we read books in bed.  He tends have favorites that we read several nights in a row, but there are a lot that he likes.

Next we turn off the light and sing songs.

Then it's time for me or Daddy to leave.  Camden has to make sure he has Riley, his "Tractor Book", his "soft pillow" (his pillow with a blue pillow case only), his Buzz Lightyear blanket, and his fan on.  Don't forget any of those crucial items!

tractor book:

it used to look like this:

When he went through a phase awhile ago where he didn't want me to leave, I made up a game where I asked three questions about his tractor book that he had to answer.  He thought it was fun and now he still asks for "3 questions" about the book.  After 100 nights, it's hard to come up with 3 questions about a 10 page book...but he still loves it!
