Texas: San Antionio

Chris had some training for work in Austin, Texas which happens to be where my wonderful high-school friend, Rebecca and her husband Lance live!  The timing worked out well for me to tag along with Chris for a long weekend to visit our friends.  It was the longest we'd left Camden (4 nights) and I missed him, but it was nice to have some time together.

The first day Rebecca joined us as we drove to San Antonio.  We wanted to check out the Alamo and the famous river walk.  We realized that none of us knew anything about the Alamo, but we learned a lot while there!  It was over 100 degrees, so we were quite hot all day!

Next, we walked up and down the river walk, ate lunch, and got some gelato.  The river walk was beautiful and really interesting with all of the various shops and restaurants.
