We FINALLY finished Camden's new Rocket Cam room! I think it turned out so cute!
We painted the room white with one blue accent wall and a stripe going across the other walls. This time we followed these tips (especially the "sealing" suggestion) and it made the final stripe flawless without having to touch up!
The bedding came from Target. It was the only rocket ship bedding I liked that wasn't from Pottery Barn or somewhere expensive.
Chris made the headboard using this tutorial.
The bed rail hides by sliding underneath the mattress.
I made the valance using my sewing machine. With the same fabric, I recovered a couple accent pillows, and added some rocket shapes to one of them.
My favorite things are the decals from Etsy. I was a little hesitant to splurge on them, but I think they are so cute and really pull the room together. Camden thinks they are pretty awesome...especially the three "Aiens" hiding around the room.
I got the nightstand for $20 and the crates for $4 each at Michaels and painted them. I was glad they had the half-sized crates so I didn't have to cut them like the tutorial.
The lamp and the overhead light are both from IKEA. They both have cute clouds on them and the table lamp is screwed to the table. The lamp button is easy for a toddler to push on/off and it doesn't get hot.
Also from IKEA, is the play rug and the table and chairs. We thought a table and chairs would be too big in the room, but this one is so cute and small! Good size for a 2 year old.
The blue chest is from Ashley furniture since we had a store credit there we were never going to use otherwise.
The floor storage bench is from (surprise!) IKEA. I upholstered it with foam and fabric to make a bench. I found these bins at Target, but they didn't come in blue. So we painted them! They look great and hold a lot of toys!
The wall art is just cut out from scrapbook paper and the lyrics to Elton John's "Rocket Man" refrain. I change the words to "Rocket Cam" when I sing it to Camden and it is one of his favorite songs : )
Now he has a great place to move into and enjoy as a "big boy"!

Wow, everything turned out so cute! You are both so talented, and always willing to put in the hard work to see your projects through to completion. Will you do my bedroom next? ;o)
