This is a list of the top 10(ish) things we've really liked and have used a lot during the first three months
1. Swaddle and Sleep Sack - we used the swaddle wrap a lot during the first few weeks to help Camden wind down. He still uses one for nap time but he sleeps in a sleep sack at night. They're great and you don't have the saftey issues of loose blankets! My mom thinks the swaddle is too much like a straight jacket, though : )
2. Sling/Wrap (Moby Wrap and Maya Wrap) - both are great for baby wearing when you have a million things to get done around the house and you want to include baby.
3. White noise machine - The Sleep Sheep plays four different sounds (although the heart beat and whale sounds are super creepy). We use a little fan at night, because the sleep sheep has a 45 minute timer.
4. Pack n' Play with changing station - great to take along while traveling instead of using the dirty and possibly dangerous ones in the hotels. We use it in our living room as a downstairs changing station. I think we'll use the interior part even more once he is mobile!
5. Books - "Happy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child" and "Happiest Baby on the Block" - I know everyone has their opinion about how to soothe their baby and what sleep tactics are best, but I really liked these two books. They both seem to make good sense to me. I'm always looking for other recommendations, if you have one!
6. Baby Monitor - A must have, I think. We've really liked this model (Sony Babycall) because it has a long range, 27 different channels to minimize interference, and 2 handsets.
7. Pacifier with clip - pacifier = life saver. A clip is good to keep them off the dirty floor and to grab while you're driving and reaching into the backseat to pop it into baby's mouth...not that I do that ; ) A mirror helps in that situation, too.

8. Travel System - I was hesitant about buying a big bulky stroller, but it has really come in handy since the infant seat just pops right in. Although the infant seat is pretty heavy and ackward to carry with a baby in it, it is great when baby is asleep and you have to run into the store. You can also have a base in each car. The Chicco Cortina sytem is really great.
9. Bouncy seat - We have one in our bathroom (so mommy can shower) and one in our living room. This was the first toy that Camden really liked.
10. Boppy and Nursing Cover - for the breastfeeding mom a boppy (or two or three) is a must as is a nursing cover (I have a Hooter Hider).
Let me know your favorite things!
