On our way to Rhode Island I wanted to stop by the Lizzy Borden Bed-and-Breakfast. I had heard about this place on the Travel Channel every year around Halloween when they have their "Top Ten Creepiest Places". This place is the #1. You can spend the night in the rooms where Lizzy's parents were mysteriously murdered...no thanks. We didn't even tour the place, actually. But now I can add it to the Creepy Places I have visted (now numbers 1,2,4,8, and 9 on the list).
We drove to Newport, Rhode Island to take the Cliff Walk. It was a beautiful stroll along the cliff edges above the cost with the ocean on one side and the mansions on the other. During the Industrial Revolution, wealthy New Yorkers built extravagant homes in Newport along the coast.
