Regent's Park (7-5-06)

This morning was class, as usual, where we learned about being a nurse midwife. Following the classroom portion, our Professor took us to the Museum of London where we learned about the history of London. Afterwards we walked by St. Pauls but decided not to pay 8 pounds to climb 500 stairs. We decided to go to Regents Park because we heard it was pretty this time of year. It is a huge park with a couple lakes, fountains, and gardens. Our favorite was the Queens Garden filled with a variety of roses. It was so quiet and peaceful there (much different then the Underground and city) so we stayed for awhile. Instead of going out to watch the World Cup again like most of my classmates, I am going back to Nutford to pack for Paris. Teresa and I will be leaving tomorrow, Thursday, a few hours after class gets over and will not return until later Sunday. Im crossing my fingers that my inability to speak any French isnt going to be a huge problem, but Ill let you know what happens. Until Sunday, au revoir! (French word compliments of my handy French guidebook)
