Our final presentations and papers were due in class today. We had a good discussion about everything we have seen and learned on this trip. We have gained so much knowledge about nursing, healthcare, history, English government, and culture. It has really been a wonderful learning experience.
After class Teresa and I went to Hyde Park to swim at the beach, but when we found out it wasn?t free we joined the rest of humanity at the Princess Diana Memorial where we could put our feet in the fountain. It was a great place to people watch and see all the different kinds of people that make up London.
British word of the day:
Knackered: meaning tired. Example: ?I am bloody knackered?. This word seems like it might be an obscene word but if you use it properly, it isn?t. I think if you change a letter or two it might be, though, so do your research before using it in your everyday language. Actually, you might be better off sticking with ?I am tired? just to be safe.
