the fabulous life of the British royalty (7-15-06)

As planned, we met up with Matt (a friend from Marian) and headed off to Windsor Castle. The state apartments were closed, so we walked around the outside of the Castle which in itself took a few hours. We did get to see Queen Mary?s Dollhouse which is a scale-model replica of a royal palace (not sure which one). It had paintings from famous artists, ornate furniture, and even full plumbing! Now that is one fantastic toy! We then took the bus back to London where we enjoyed a traditional English dinner of Fish and Chips (and by chips I mean French fries). We ended the evening enjoying a pint of Pimms at the pub near our dorm, the Duke of York. Pimms is the best summer drink ever. I?m going to have to get the recipe before we go.

I am going to start writing a word of the day for each of the remaining days I am here. Let me know if you have any idea what the actual meanings of these words are because I am going to take my best guess!

British word of the day:

Queue ? can be used as a noun to mean ?line? or as a verb to mean ?line up?. Example: ?Queue here to enter the building? (It?s more fun to say than line, too!)
