Spring Break 2025 - Hilton Head Island (day 11)

We had a full day at our resort on Hilton Head Island. We started at the beach which proved to be a good choice because we found so many creatures. Then it was swimming time at the various pools (with frequent stops in the hot tub to warm up). We got free dinner at the poolside restaurant due to some issues we had a check in, which was a nice change from our microwaved meals! We ended back at the beach for one last time before we headed out.

The next day, we checked out and drove all the way to Lexington, Kentucky where we stayed the night to break up the drive (no photos of these two days). We had a fabulous trip and had so much fun!

This was the "zoo" where they put all the creatures. Other kids came to see it.

a sand heart! This was harder than I thought. Some random people walking by cheered me on.

when it's in the 60's out...no one else in the pool

Spring Break 2025 - Hilton Head Island (day 10)

In the morning, we headed out to Hilton Head Island. Our first stop was a hike through the swampy area in search of wildlife. We saw birds, salamanders, and one wild alligator! We then stopped by the lighthouse on the island. It was a chilly and windy day, but we decided to explore the beach behind our resort. The kids loved the beach and all the cool creatures we found!

Spring Break 2025 - Savannah, Georgia (day 9)

We woke up in downtown Savannah ready to explore. We started the day at the beautiful St. John's Cathedral for Mass. Then we started a walking tour using a cool app that took us through many of the squares in Savannah. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful city! We stopped in SCAD (an art school downtown) and saw a cool presentation...now Savannah wants to go there for college. We ended a walk at a playground. Chris took some of the kids to the Riverwalk to explore while I let Jonas go swimming at the hotel.

The park where the Forrest Gump bench scene occurs. The bench is no longer there.
