In the Carmel school district, the schools really celebrate 5th graders as they move on from six years in elementary and move onto middle school. They make it so fun and memorable (Camden fondly remembers his send off from 5th grade). Here are some highlights!

Kindergarteners participate in a Kindy 500 race in a homemade box car every year. Savannah's class were covid kindergarteners and missed this opportunity. The PTO made it happen for them as fifth graders. Savannah was a bit embarrassed but she humored me and raced in a Chick-fil-A themed car.
