That's a wrap on school for our crew with some big milestones being completed! Camden, Levi, and I celebrated as the in-school kids walked home with our traditional smoke bomb (not sure what I'll do when they get home at 3 different times from 3 different directions next year!)
Levi finished his time in preschool after three years. We enjoyed being back at Seton this year (especially that they get the kids out of the cars and bring them back since my foot was broken half the time!). He had a great teacher, Mrs. Goedde. I'll miss our time driving back and forth from school next year. I'll also miss having this boy at home with me! This boy feels ready for Kindergarten where he can finally join his brother at school!
Jonas is the only kid staying at the same school next year. We are still honing on on how Jonas learns best and I hope we can fine tune things more next year. He made HUGE improvements in reading and went from being pulled for reading help to passing the Iread test! He also did awesome skipping a grade of math and breezed right through. He was one of 4 kids in his class to win two awards in class. He works hard in school and I know third grade will bring good things!
Savannah also learned a bit about her learning needs this year and got some help in place in case she might need it next year. Her teacher thinks she's very bright and will do well in middle school. She'll be in advanced math and was invited to be in the honors ELA also! While she's more apathetic about school in general, she's excited for a new adventure at Clay Middle and is ready to go!
Camden will probably have the biggest change of all as he is going from three years of homeschool to a rigorous schedule at Carmel High. He's enjoyed the laid back pace of homeschooling and the freedom to work flexibly. He felt like taking a few honors classes and advanced math, so I know it will be a big transition for him but he'll be ready.
Lots of new adventures on the horizon, but first, summer!
