Washington DC - day 6 - Washington Monument & Smithsonians

We were out the door this morning to head back to the Washington Monument. Camden and I had managed to reserve tickets to go up in the monument (which were difficult to obtain) at 9:30am. We went up the elevator and got great views of the city, it was so cool!

Once we were back down, we walked to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. It was very crowded but we were able to see a lot of the exhibits there, including the Hope Diamond.

We then walked to the Smithsonian Sculpture garden to rest. Camden and I left the others there while we went to our reserved time at the National Archives. He wanted to see the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights...and we saw all three! We then joined the others back at the garden (they were putting their feet in the fountain and looking for "treasures"). On our walk home, we got very expensive ice cream at a street vendor.

We ended the evening with hotel swimming, of course. Right before bed, we did our Holy Thursday feet washing. Everyone picked a partner to wash. Levi refused again this year, but eventually was forced to wash Camden's feet.
