On Sunday, we left Pittsburg for Washington DC. Our only stop for the day was the Smithsonian National Zoo. It was pretty crowded overall, but the weather was great for viewing animals. The main animal on the "must see" list was the Giant Pandas. There are only three zoos in the country right now with pandas. We waited in about a 20 minute line and were able to see both pandas being active and up close. So cool! We were able to see a Komodo dragon for Levi (he saw one in a book before). After the zoo, we checked into our new hotel, Residence Inn National Mall, had groceries delivered, and ate some ice cream before bed.
