Jonas at 5 years

Jonas is a whole hand! Jonas brings a certain comedy and excitement to our family. He is really funny and has a knack for comedic timing. His memory is pretty good, too (he told me "my hands have been scorched by the flames of chaos" which apparently he heard on TV). He is very active...always running, jumping, tumbling, etc. He gets hurt so often (black eye, limp, bloody finger, you name it!) that I wonder if his teachers are going to say something to us at some point! We joke about him being small (he can roll up into a tiny ball) because he doesn't like to eat dinner...but we all like him that way. He loves to snuggle and hug and is very empathetic. He enjoys watching the same movie over and over. He loves books. He's doing so well as a peer friend in the developmental preschool. It was midway through this last year that Jonas finally ditched his paci for good (pandemic, moving, new brother all set him back a little bit) and now our house is paci free! He is always wanting to keep little trinkets from places he goes and giving little things to his friends as gifts. Last week he gave his friend a school a AAA battery as a friendship gift.

Height: (will update)

Weight: 37lbs

Favorite foods: peanut butter and honey sandwich, fruit, strawberry oatmeal, treats. Not dinner.

Sleep: no longer naps since he's at pre-school. He's tired for bedtime at 8pm and falls right to sleep even though his new roommate is still talking, sometimes.

School/Activities: he attends preschool for 2hrs everyday at the one of the Carmel developmental preschools. He is there as a peer friend. It's been a great experience. He also did soccer last spring and will be doing it again this spring.

Likes: wrestling dad, snacks, shows, watching dad play video games, collecting things, snuggling, books, forts

Dislikes: people taking his things, eating dinner

note: last year he wore swimming goggles for his photos because it "makes his eyes look good". This year he wanted to wear mittens because they "make him stickier".
