My laptop just died, so we got an old laptop from Chris' parents and Chris was able to get and old one from his IT office (who said several people were asking for old laptops) for Camden and Savannah to use for virtual education. We also use 2 different Ipads since some of their work is better done on an Ipad (reading apps, etc). I repurposed our dinning room into a school room with each kid at an end and their learning supplies on the sideboard. It has been challenging to work through our homeschooling. Savannah's education is very virtual and requires me to assist quite a bit with reading instructions and overseeing. Camden can work more independently but there are things to upload, math problems to check, etc. Jonas wants a lot of attention and acts up sometimes, so I've been allowing him to watch about an hour of TV or play ABC mouse in the mornings during our busiest homeschool time. Levi requires normal baby care which interrupts things when I have to go feed, comfort, or get him down for a nap. Hopefully we'll work out some of the kinks. I am SUPER impressed by the quality of education the kids are still getting and the unique activities and methods of teaching the teachers have come up with given they've had such short notice.
Chris hoped to be able to work at his company's office (there were only a few people working there) but they eventually said no one could be there and he had to pack up monitors and supplies to work from our home office (eventually the state also asked everyone to work at home anyways). Since he takes conference calls during the day, I made a sign that he adjusts with the times he's on the phone each day and can't be disturbed (funny, I was the only who accidentally interrupted during a meeting).

Some highlights from this week:
- nightly stories via Twitter read by Josh Gad (Olaf). He's good with voices and funny
- getting out on a long walk one beautiful morning before it rained
- I started making bread again (we go through a lot). Still needs some work.
- On Thursday night, we found Bruce Barker (aka the Piano Man from the Neon Cactus on Purdue's campus back in our college days) performing like he used to do on Thursday nights. That really brought back nice memories and we hope he does it this Thursday too.
- new nephew born! Now we have 3 nephews and 3 (almost 4) nieces!
- my first time driving in over a week...my car was dead (we jumped it) and I picked up new O'Charley's family meals which fed us all for 2 meals!
- Cam & Savy's map class on Outschooled was really neat!
- weekly Google hangout with all of my siblings and parents on Friday night
- finished reading Matilda to Camden and Savannah and watched the movie
- Chris started the Avengers series with the kids. Which means some quiet time for me :)
- all Savannah's classmates uploaded a video about their weekend so they could all see each other (super cute). Camden's class had a meeting using Zoom video conferencing. Good thing the teacher had a "mute all" button because they sure had a lot to say!
- Jonas' preschool teacher Facetime him for a quick check in and so he could tell her he watched "Land Before Time"
Me, trying to help Camden with his math homework:
Camden: "You're doing traditional long division?"
Me: "I didn't know there was more than one kind of division."
Jonas (getting tired of playing a card game): "This game is cancelled."
Chris: "What?"
Jonas: "The coronavirus just cancelled this game."
He's figuring out how this works.
