Orlando - Magic Kingdom

Initially I wasn't planning to do Disney on this trip to be more frugal. However, I couldn't resist a one day trip to Magic Kingdom! To make the most of the day, we left our resort before 7am to get there  in time for our pre-park opening breakfast at Be Our Guest. This was our first time staying off site, and the commute into the parks was quite the trek. I also packed a lot of extra items since it was predicted to rain almost the entire day.

We had ordered our breakfast ahead of time, and were one of the first guest to sit in the ballroom portion of the restaurant. We filled up on food and positioned ourselves to get to Seven Drarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan before the crowds could get back there. Savannah, Jonas and I got to ride Peter Pan without a line, but Camden was too scared to ride the Mine Train when they got near the front, so they didn't get to take advantage. Luckily, we got a rider switch pass and Chris was able to ride later in the day by himself.

The rest of morning we spent riding It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion, the People Mover, Carousel of Progress, Under The Sea Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and Dumbo. We had packed a lunch to eat midday.

We raced to the front of the park for our FastPass to see Minnie & Mickey because we could hear thunder approaching. It didn't actually rain, and we took a break on Main Street to wait for the Festival of Fantasy Parade which ended up being delayed due to impending weather. We decided to leave the park early to explore the Polynesian Resort where our dinner reservation at Ohana was located. Camden was excited to add many more lizards to his count at the resort (the trip total was 118 lizard sightings) and we enjoyed the tropical atmosphere. Dinner at Ohana was fantastic since it is served all-you-can eat family style. You don't choose your food, delicious food is brought out to you.

Polynesian Resort

After dinner, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom and rode Mickey's Philharmagic, Winnie the Pooh, the carousel, Buzz again, Small World again, Little Mermaid again, and People Mover again. Right after the People Mover ride the huge rains unleashed and we prepped ourselves and the strollers with ponchos and covers for the long walk back to the parking lot in the rain.

We had a long and enjoyable day at Disney and were glad the rains held off until after eight!
