Camden received his First Communion! There was a lot of preparation involved for this event. In addition to his normal classes, we went on a parent/child retreat, practiced how to receive communion at home (the wine experiment was pretty funny), talked about the significance and meaning, and got the appropriate clothing. He was ready!
Our church held a separate Mass on Sunday to accommodate all the children and their families. We were there two hours. Camden was chosen to bring up the wine during the offertory procession! After the Mass, we returned to our home to celebrate with some food and family. It was a lovely day.
