baby #4

Well, we are expecting baby #4 this November! We prayed and thought over the decision to continue growing our family for a long time since my miscarriage last fall was very emotionally and physically traumatic. I was on a few extra medications for the first several weeks this time around to hopefully improve my chances of a successful pregnancy. I'm now past the first trimester (16 weeks!) and hoping to feel better in the second. I've now officially been pregnant for more than 18 total months worth of first trimesters (12 weeks x 6)...I can't even believe I survived that many months of feeling so lousy! We're pretty confident this will be our last (human) addition to our family, so I'm trying to enjoy it since this season goes by so quickly. Prayers for an as-smooth-as-possible next few months as we prepare our family for #4. With three active kids already...we are going to need some patience and grace as we add one more!

This photo is from April, but it's the only one I have. We'll get some 20 week photos in a few weeks.

Funny tidbit: I remember when I was pregnant the first time I stopped drinking any caffeine right away, just to be safe. Now, this time around, I realized I drink pretty much the maximum recommended amount within the first hour of being awake. Times have changed, folks!
