Savannah at 5 years

Savannah is a whole hand old now! She is funny and very go with the flow. She's our easiest kid to parent, although I foresee that will change once she's a teenager. She often does what other people want to keep the peace. She's really becoming a great big sister to Jonas, and he looks forward to playing with her (especially where she is his pet dog). She tends to be quiet and stick with one or two friends at a time. She's particular about what she wants to wear everyday (not always seasonally appropriate and usually a unique fashion statement).

Height: 45"

Weight: 49lbs

Clothing Size: 6 shirts pants, 11 shoes

Favorite Foods (besides "treats"): she is the least picky eater in our family, loves sushi!, fruits, beans & rice, most foods really

Favorite activities: crafts/art/drawing, dancing, playing with jewelry/play makeup, her babies/stuffed animals, changing clothes, wearing dresses, swimming!. We haven't really started her in sports but she isn't really that interested, either.

Goals for this year:
-be prepared for Kindergarten to start in the fall
-possibly try soccer in the spring
-listening to the teacher in dance/school and not letting her friends emotions distract her. If her friend is sad/angry she just has to empathize!
-enjoying her last year before full time school
-decreasing the "baby talk" she does a lot

Biggest achievements this year:
-riding a bike with no training wheels
-much improvement in swimming
-able to write letters and draw well

Fun Facts:
-she comes to our room about 5 times every night (before we go to bed) to tell us something or to inform us she's scared. Since we installed a security system a few years ago she has been scared of burglers (even though the system is suppose to help you not be scared)
- we believe she has night terrors occasionally where she wakes up between 9-11pm crying for about 10 minutes and is inconsolable. In the morning, she has no recollection of it. Luckily it doesn't happen too often.
-she has great comedic timing and will quote random parts of movies. She's a funny kid!
-she has become really good at drawing and coming up with interesting pictures

for our photo shoot, she wanted to wear her flower dress and a plaid shirt. I told her it would be too much pattern. We came to a compromise that she could tuck the dress into her pants until the photos were done. Here she is setting her true style free!

she also brought the toy camera and had me do various poses

her hair is always crazy like this
