We were up at 3:30am to catch our 6am flight out of LAX. We were unable to land in our layover city, Seattle, due to fog. After circling the city for a while, the plane had to divert to Yacima, Washington to get fuel. The airport there had difficulty accommodating our plane and we sat on the tarmac for two hours before refueling and getting to ok to fly back to Seattle. Once in Seattle, we missed our flight home, so we snagged a flight to Minneapolis with intentions of then flying home from there. Unfortunately, that flight was delayed leaving and we barely missed our flight home to Indy. Delta got us (and most of the passengers of the flight who also missed various connecting flights) a hotel room at the Great Wolf Lodge in Minneapolis and the hotel gave us free sandwiches/snacks and opened their bar up for us which was much appreciated. The next morning, we caught another early flight back to Indy.
drinks and Great Wolf Lodge
the one time we've had an upgraded room at GWL is the one time we didn't have any kids with us!
our diversion flight to Yacima allowed us this beautiful view of Mount Rainier
