Advent: week 1 & cars

For starters this week, we ended up starting the week purchasing a new-to-us mini-van to replace Chris' terrible car which broke down yet again and got towed from our house. Now we are soooo cool with two mini-vans! Eventually we'll replace the older van with a sedan, but we wanted our newer car (the family car) to be a mini-van. I don't care, I love the functionality of the mini-vans :)

The kids were excited for Advent to start. We light our advent wreath on our kitchen table every night while we eat (and so far Camden has only burned a few of his bangs messing with the candle). We read a prayer from a booklet we got. We also add a piece to our hanging nativity calendar daily. There are stockings that contain an activity for the day, also. I made this several years ago when I had more time and now I just pick one the night before. Some are simple like reading a Christmas book on our busy days while others are activities.

Some activities this week included (we didn't start the activity calendar until 12/1) - watching a Christmas movie with Cece (and new PJs)
