Preparing for Advent

We are gearing up for another Advent and Christmas season, which is such a fun season to enjoy with the kids. I have to reflect on the fact that this is the second year in a row that I'll be pregnant during the fall and Christmas season - last year was months 2 & 3, this year months 7 & 8. It makes it a little tricker to have the energy needed to get everything accomplished, but this year I am thankful that I've made it this far...and also that I'm (sort of) almost done  (currently 30 weeks)!

We celebrated Thanksgiving a few times: once with friends, once with the Miskowiecs, and once with the Eakmans.  After Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas decorations. The kids have been waiting to put up the tree and decorations.

this is how you deal with those "wonderful" pre-lit trees. Poor Chris is stuck doing all the heavy lifting, crawling under trees, etc since I'm pregnant
