We had a mild bout of stomach flu run through the beginning of the week, so we weren't as zealous early on during the week. But the nice weather towards the end of the week really allowed us to do some fun things.
We:
-decorated a gingerbread house
-made gingerbread cookies
-celebrated St. Nicholas day
-took a Christmas themed bath
-took a walk in our neighborhood to see Christmas lights-this is one of my favorite holiday activities and we don't always get nice enough weather to do it every year.
-went on a walk around the Hamilton Towne Center Mall - they have a skating rink set up and lots of lights and Christmas trees. It was so nice to enjoy an outdoor mall mid-December
putting out shoes for St. Nicholas. After this, Savannah got really upset about her shoe not being put away so St. Nick had to find her shoe in the shoe drawer
playing with the sandboxes from St. Nick (took way too long to clean up inside)
gingerbread cookies
nice enough to go to the playground
and with no leaves on the trees, the stream too was easy to get to
funny things:
Savannah on a (failed) mission to get Izzy, our rabbit, out from under the tree. She just yelled "Izzy, get out from there!"
Camden said, "I have 12 books to read tonight, so it's going to be a long time until lights off." He fell asleep mid Star Wars book
